How much influence does a heel on my shoe or a tie around my neck have on how those around me perceive me? The artist SOPHIE, who died in 2021 at the age of only 34, attracted worldwide attention with her music between electro-pop and avant-garde. Despite the fame of her music, she kept her own identity a secret for a long time until she came out as a trans woman in 2017. To the arrangement of her album “Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides” by the string quintet “Wooden Elephant”, Gil Harush explores the diverse spectrum of gender performance.
